Turkeys in Flight

I wish we’d gotten a picture (the photo I attached is a free stock photo from online; it's as close to what we saw as I could find). We just saw the first up close and personal turkeys on our property; we sort of surprised them as we walked over a hill.

Upon seeing us, the turkeys flew into the nearby trees; and it was really something to see. They looked almost like dinosaurs flying; it was quite the laborious process for them and for a while, I wasn’t certain they’d make it.
