Totes For Water

While recently on Craigslist, I noticed a 250 Gallon Tote posting (food grade); they were priced at the lowest end of the pricing spectrum I've seen in our area lately. I immediately texted to see if I could get 2 delivered (we were approximately 40 minutes from the seller's location according to Google Maps). He said yes - total cost including delivery for 2 was $180.
The guy had the totes to me the next day. We plan to use them to catch rainwater off of our "barn" roof and provide water to whatever livestock is next on our list (likely either pigs or sheep). I had bought some cheap tote covers online. This will prevent algea from growing once filled and will help prevent the tanks from degrading from the sun.
We still have one 250 Gallon Tote inside of the Barn which we acquired when we initially bout our property. We'll get that one outside and covered shortly.
The two 40 Gallon barrels catching water from our chicken coop has proved to be so convenient for the 7 months of the year we can use them (mid-April through mid-November; we store them in our "barn" for our harsh winters as freezing water would crack the barrels and break the spigots).
One step closer to move "livestock".
