The Richland County Fair

Our break this past weekend was a turn at the Richland County fair.
We were hungry and found lots to eat and drink (a local beef sandwich which was tender and delicious, a gyro, cheese curds, and a very large jug of fresh squeezed lemonade (our thirst at the time of order carried us a way a little bit)).
We walked through the animal barns (we always enjoy dreaming of the farm animals we’ll someday have whenever we go to a county fair; the dream seemed a little more realistic to us this time).
On the way out, I caught site of “The Homesteader’s Store” Kubota display of equipment. There was one particular UTV that caught our attention even though we’re 1-2 years away from making such a purchase. The salesman proved to be extremely helpful and when listening to our needs (aka, future needs), he suggested a closer look at the Kubota RTV X1100C which runs on Diesel. And while the RTV isn’t very fast (top speed of ~25mph) compared to other ATVs and UTVs, it is apparently a very reliable work horse. It’s a 4x4 that supposedly doesn’t require much by way of maintenance and repair.
We left dreaming of an RTV and all of the uses we’d put it to (eventually).
It was an enjoyable night at the fair!
(Side note: The next morning as we were packing our car to leave, the neighboring farmer pulled into our driveway with of all things, a Kubota RTV 4x4… it made me smile.)
