First Of The Season Asparagus Poking Through In The Garden

Today is April 29th here in SE WI. I'm not sure we've ever had asparagus poke through this early. Usually our first asparagus pops up at the beginning of May. And while I know that we're just about at the beginning of May - it sure was exciting to see the asparagus here at the end of April.

Once I saw the first couple of stalks, it became a little bit of a game of "Where's Waldo?" as I eagerly looked for more. The little shoots can be easy to miss...
